BzzCampaigns...And Real Life decides to interfere.

Really sorry I've been gone for so long. Real life has a decided prejudice against me, I swear it. I spent all of December and most of January in the hospital/physical rehabilitation center getting rid of over 200 lbs. of excess fluid build up due to my congestive heart failure/COPD/Lymphedema.

I'm currently in two fantastic BzzAgent campaigns! One is for Covergirl's Lash Blast Volume Mascara. What was really great about this campaign was we got to choose from three different formulas: Volume, Fusion and Clump Crusher. I've always had pretty long lashes, but I've noticed that since I've gotten older, they look thinner. So I chose to go with the Volume formula. I'm honestly thrilled with the product, for me it's done what it says it will do. It makes my lashes look thicker and healthier.

The second campaign I'm currently in is for Bic's Soleil Shine razors. A few months ago, I did a campaign for their Soleil Glow razors and was thrilled with them. I haven't had a chance to try out these ones yet, but they look like they're going to be just as fabulous as the first ones.

I honestly have to say that I love being a BzzAgent. I've been a member since 2006, and I've gotten to be in all kinds of awesome campaigns ranging from electric toothbrushes from Oral B, to Hershey's Take 5 candybars to makeup from Covergirl, Revlon and L'Oreal. I love that the products are (almost always) free and that there's (usually) coupons to use and share with family and friends. If you love to be able to try new products and share your opinion with people, you might want to try it out. Simply go to BzzAgent.com and sign up! You never know what campaigns you might get approved for!

Zoya Polish Duos

I was lucky enough to have a few extra dollars to splurge this month and since I hadn't bought any new polishes in a while (one of my slight obsessions), I was instantly attracted to an ad I saw on Facebook for Zoya. I'd always heard good things about the Zoya brand, but had yet to try them. What better time than now when I could get them at a bargain?! They were offering duos of their polishes for $10. When I checked out the site, the polishes were regularly $11-13 apiece. The duos were $10. I ordered 3 of the duos. For six polishes, the total would have been $66-78, giving me a savings of $33-48!!!

Here are the three Duos I bought:

Cool Blue Duo

Falling Leaves Duo

Rich Jewels Duo

For now, Zoya still has the Duos on sale. You can find the duos on the website, Zoya.com. They will appear as $16 apiece, until you add three to your cart and use the code FDUO. The code is good until September 30th, 2015.

BzzAgent: Bic Soleil Glow Razors

As a BzzAgent, I love getting new campaigns. I recently joined a campaign for the BIC Soleil Glow razors. Now, because I am on blood thinners for blood clots, I am always a bit afraid of nicking myself. So I try to use razors that have the moisture strip on them, I seem to be able to use them without catching my skin on the blade.

One problem: they are so expensive!

Needless to say, I was thrilled when I received a campaign invite for these razors! I love the close shave I am able to achieve and how silky and soft my skin feels afterwards. With my Bzzkit, I received not only a free package of 3 razors, but quite a few coupons for $3 off more packages of them. Considering these razors usually go for around $8, it definitely makes it a bit more affordable on a budget!

Finding your inner Bargain Ninja

As someone who grew up living paycheck to paycheck, I learned from an early age the joys of finding a great bargain. Now, as a disabled adult, I still strive to find that joy of a "fantastic deal." I love shopping sales, online or off, and coupons are my friends! A friend once labeled me "The Bargain Ninja," for my inability too buy anything for myself unless it was on sale, or, even better, free! And as weird as that probably makes me, she's absolutely right!

Now, you don't have to be struggling paycheck to paycheck to be a bargain lover. Saving money is great anytime, for anyone!

Buying online can be both a time and money saver, especially when you can do a subscribe and save! If you use a product often enough, subscribe and save is a fantastic idea. Amazon and Wal-Mart are two online sites I know for certain offer subscribe and save.

Coupons are wonderful! Even if you don't go full on "clipping coupons for sixty hours a week," saving a few dollars here and there on your weekly shopping trip adds up!

And then, of course, there are programs which will offer free items, usually just for reviews. I am a member of Bzzagent.com and have been for quite a few years now. With each campaign that I join, I receive a bzzkit. Depending on the campaign's product, I may receive free or reduced-price products, coupons, and a list of tasks and online reviews or reports to finish. Most of them are things like tweeting about the product, easy enough to do.

These are just a few ways to save that I employ. What are some of your own?
